What is the EASA SEP/MEP class rating recency requirement?

FCL.740.A requires SEP/TMG class ratings to be revalidated by either passing a proficiency check in the last 3 months of validity, or completing 12 hours of flight in the relevant class (including 6 PIC, 12 takeoffs and 12 landings, and a 1-hour refresher with an instructor) in the 12 months before expiry.
