  • Is logbooksimple really free?

    Yes. No subscription, no trial, no credit card required. The app is completely free to use. Keep your money in the fuel tank.

  • Does it work offline?

    Yes. logbooksimple is an offline-first PWA — all your logbook data lives in your browser's IndexedDB. You can log flights, check currency, and use Dispatch AI without any network connection. Optional Supabase sync lets you access your data across devices when you're online.

  • Is an electronic logbook legal?

    Yes. The FAA accepts electronic logbooks under AC 120-78, Transport Canada under AC 700-001, and EASA under AMC1 FCL.050. See the full regulations reference for details on each region's requirements.

  • Which regions does it support?

    logbooksimple supports all three major regions: FAA (United States), Transport Canada (TC), and EASA (Europe). PDF exports are tailored to each region's format and field requirements.

  • Can I import an existing logbook?

    Yes. You can import your existing logbook entries via CSV. Dispatch AI can also help map your CSV columns and propose an import structure automatically.

  • Is my data exportable?

    Yes. You can export your logbook as PDF in FAA, TC, or EASA format. You can also export all data as CSV for your own records.

  • What is Dispatch AI?

    Dispatch AI is an optional, opt-in AI assistant that answers questions about your logged hours, currency, and history using your own logbook data. It also provides regulatory Q&A with citations. Your data is never shared with the AI provider unless you explicitly opt in.

  • Is my data secure?

    Your data stays on your device by default in IndexedDB. Optional Supabase sync is encrypted and follows the same privacy policies as your account data. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
